Live 1/8th for Andean Health and Development
Live 1/8th aims to raise funds to donate hospital equipment and medical supplies to Andean Health and Development (AHD), a non-government organization that provides care to an underserved area of rural Ecuador.
This assistance will increase the capacity of AHD to implement a novel strategic approach to maximise its impact on health through a prioritized package of essential health services. This package will represent a compromise between international recommendations for what health interventions are cost-effective, current capacities available at the hospital, and stated preferences of community members in the catchment area. The health impact of this package will be monitored using standard economic tools.
